Coach Sutter did an amazing job in his extensive research and documentation for The GOAT.   C. Cotton   United States

Interesting process for determining the best players of all time. Coach Sutter walks the readers through a well-reasoned way to evaluate statistics. He offers the reader his “eye test” of each player since he saw every player that is in his book play. The countdown from #75 to #1 keeps you wondering who is going to come out on top.  KC Steve  United States

It’s pretty rare to find someone who has actually seen the great players in the 50s and 60s, and coached at the collegiate level. A book that can be enjoyed even if you disagree with the author’s ranking of the players. It’s an easy read with excellent content.     H. Hoge  Florida

I liked the criteria used by Coach Sutter in selecting the Top 75 greatest players of all time. I thought the “GEM” about each player was a unique addition to each player’s bio. I also liked the special mention about the players who might have made the list if their careers would not have gotten cut short be injuries. Excellent book for basketball enthusiasts.  Thomas R.  Florida

A lot of information about the older players. I appreciate the author giving the reasons why he ranked the players where he did.  Bratboy  Florida

This is a book written by a former college basketball player and coach. I enjoyed reading the profiles of the players, especially the older players. Coach Sutter listed the All-Decade teams from the 1950s to the current decade, which I thought was very interesting. As a middle school teacher I shared the book with my students and several of them enjoyed reading it as well.  Ashlyjewel  Florida

“Greatness is easy to recognize but sometimes hard to define.” So says Jack Sutter, a longtime basketball fan who has had an up-close view of the game as a player and coach. And now, in as methodical a means as you can imagine, he has attempted to put a definition on greatness when it comes to professional athletes who have played in the NBA….. For any passing basketball fan, naming the top 5 or 10 players should not be a great mystery, except perhaps for the order. But as much as naming names and making picks, the great joy in this book, “The G.O.A.T.: The Quest to Find the Best”, is hearing Coach Sutter talk basketball-the game he loves and the players that made an impact on his life. Whether you agree with Sutter’s picks or not, he already has succeeded in writing a provocative and entertaining book.   BookTrib
