The magazine-style book has 60 pages with records and stats about each of the 8 schools in the conference. There are over 35 pictures in the book to help document the rich tradition of the GEC. The book has been in the planning and research stages for 7 months. The book offers each of the 8 communities a glimpse of boy’s basketball history and the people who made it. This is a future reference book and a book that will keep a lot of great memories, dating back to the early 50’s, alive.
I am doing a book tour in the GEC communities beginning with Popcorn Day in Ridgway on September 13th. I am going to the Red Onion in Equality on the evening (5-6) on the 19th. I am going to be at the Village Pizza and Grill in Galatia the evening of the 18th (5-7). The 20th, a Saturday, I will be at the Shrimp Festival in Golconda. Working on some other places that week.
If you can’t make any of these events, the book will be available at some local businesses and at some of the high schools in these GEC communities.
The book can be purchased directly from me for $15 plus $4 for shipping. You can use Venmo at the link below. You can also send me a check along with your mailing address (DM or MESSAGE ME) and I will mail you the book. I would be happy to personalize the book just give me a name.
