I’m excited to announce that I have been able to put together a book tour for my book “The History of the Greater Egyptian Conference”. I am going to be at Popcorn Day in Ridgway on September 13th at Martin Duffy’s on the square. To make this day even more special than it already is I am extending a “special invitation” to all former and current GEC players and coaches to celebrate the FIRST GEC BOY’S BASKETBALL REUNION. Hope to have many former players attend this event. We have 77-years of basketball to talk about, that we played a part in creating! I am going to do all I can to promote this and would appreciate you passing the word along. After Popcorn Day I will be in Norris City at the Public Library on September 16th (Tues.) from 4-6. On the 18th (Thur.) I will be at the Village Pizza and Grill in Galatia from 4-6. (I have a feeling this one could go a little later.) On Friday the 19th I will be at the Red Onion in Equality from 4-6. My meet, greet, sell, and sign will finish in Golconda at the Shrimp Festival on the 20th. Growing up in Galatia, I always heard how great the “popcorn capital of the world” festival was in Ridgway so I will get to see for myself. The Shrimp Festival, I am told attracts 10,000 people, so that could be wild and crazy. I am excited to be there and share my book with all the high school basketball fans. Everyone who has seen the book has praised how professional it is and how it is “a walk down memory lane”. You will love the book.
If you can’t make it to any of these places you can buy the book through Venmo https://Venmo.com/u/Jack-Sutter-10. You can also message me and send a check with a mailing address. I would be honored to sign it if you would like.
