Now Available: The 2nd Edition of The History of the Greater Egyptian Conference

The wait is over. The 2nd Edition of The History of the Greater Egyptian Conference is now available — and it's bigger, sharper, and more complete than ever.

If you grew up in southern Illinois, you know the GEC. You know the gymnasiums that shook on Friday nights. You know the players who became legends in their hometowns. This book is their story — and now, for the first time, you can put faces to the names.

What's New in the 2nd Edition

• Over a dozen new photos — so you can finally see the players you've been reading about
• Mistakes corrected — every error brought to my attention has been fixed
• Stats and records updated — the numbers are right
• 73 of the 77 conference MVPs now identified — the most complete GEC MVP list ever assembled

"As a participant, a historian, and an author, I hope you have enjoyed this 'walk' down memory lane as much as I have enjoyed sharing it with you… My intention was to shake down the memories from the past. Players who inspired me, and coaches that I admired, are in this book."
