Did I miss anyone?

That's the question I've been asking myself since wrapping up my seven-week series on the Illinois high school All-Decade Teams — from the 1950s all the way through the 2010s. (It's too early to get into the 2020s just yet.)

The response over those seven weeks was overwhelmingly positive, and I'm grateful for every reader who followed along. But I did get some pushback — and honestly, I expected it. A few of you felt strongly that certain players belonged on those teams and were left off.

You're probably right.

Here's the truth: I had to limit my picks to keep the posts readable. Every decade has more deserving players than there are spots on an All-Decade Team. I know I missed some players who absolutely deserved to be there.

So this is where you come in.

Help Me Find the Players I Overlooked

I'm limiting this to the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s only. Why? Because stats and info for the older players are much harder to find than current players' bios. The further back we go, the more the record depends on people who were there — and that's you.

Example — from Dana in central Illinois:

Brian Rothrock, Stewardson-Strasburg, 1970s. Scored 780 points his senior year and over 1,700 for his career. 1975 All-State. Also a standout baseball player who signed with the Cincinnati Reds.

That's the kind of submission that helps — a name, a school, a decade, and enough detail to track down the rest.
